Note:  Maurice Frederick Codner was a British society portrait painter. His portraits include Sir George Robey, Sir George Broadbridge, Lord Alexander of Tunis, King George VI, Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother (1952) and Gwilym Lloyd-George (in 1955).

Provenance: Estate of the late William Lloyd George, 3rd Viscount Tenby (1927-2023), the grandson of David Lloyd George, 1st Earl of Dwyfor (1863-1945) the British Prime Minister from 1916 to 1922 during WWI.
