Comprising: a Queen’s South Africa medal with 4 clasps Cape Colony, Johannesburg, Diamond Hill, Wittebergen (6985 Sejt R. Kean, A.S.C.); and a King's South Africa medal with 2 clasps South Africa 1901 and South Africa 1902 (6985 C. QR:MR: Serjt R. Kean, A.S.C.).

Note: Kean was Born in the parish of Sittingbourne, Kent and enlisted age 18 years, 5 months, 11.6.1886. 11.6.1886. Served South Africa 16.9.1899 to 27.5.1905, number 19 company. Discharged 16.1.1905 whilst serving with number 63 company. Home was Birkenhead, Cheshire.
