Hallmarks are indistinct, tests as 18ct yellow gold.

This chain is in very good condition, with no damage to the links or clasp. There is light surface scratching commensurate with wear. The hallmarks are worn away, but we can confirm that it tests as 18ct gold with a Kee gold tester, as well as being acid tested. The necklace does have the remanence of a maker's mark, that appears as if it could possibly be French, and it is from the private estate of a English lady.
