A Chinese painted pottery ox (Northern Qi, 549-577 AD), the beast in standing pose with head raised, with ornate roundel mounded saddle and harness, with detachable horns, ears and tail, supported on a rectangular base. Accompanied by an Oxford Authentication thermoluminescence analysis report fonrming the age. 36 x 27cm.
Detachable horns and ears, remarkable condition for age, a few cracks and evidence of repair to horn commensurate with age.
