A very large and heavy 19th century Thai carved stone statue of Buddha, seated cross-legged in Varadamudra, with one arm raised and the other lowered, with eyes closed, on a naturalistic base. 100 cm high.
Wear to stone, missing arm.
The lot has come from a private London based Asian art collector who is selling due to a house move, he bought it at auction several years ago and has owned it since.
