A Boer War medal pair awarded to: 3843 Private H. E. Stone, 6th Dragoon Guards. Comprising: a Queen’s South Africa medal with 6 clasps Relief of Kimberley, Paardeberg, Driefontein, Johannesburg, Diamond Hill, Belfast (3843 Pte. H. Stone, 6/ Drgn Gds.); and a King's South Africa medal with 2 clasps South Africa 1901 and South Africa 1902 (3843 Pte. H. E. Stone, 6th Drgn Gds.).
Note: Stone was born in Littlehampton, Sussex in August 1879 and enlisted 26.11.1897. He served two spells in prison. South Africa November 1899 to January 1905, posted to the 3rd Dragoon Guards 15.3.1905. Discharged to reserve November 1905. No first war service found.
