A Boer War LSGC medal pair awarded to: 2612 Sergeant Major John Isaac, 3rd Battalion, Dragoon Guards. Comprising: a Queen’s South Africa medal with 5 clasps Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal, South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902 (2612 Serjt J. Isaac, 3rd Dgn Gds), and an Edward VII Long Service and Good Conduct Medal (2612 S. Serjt: Maj. J. Isaac, 3rd Dragoon Gds).

Note: John Issac was born in Somerset, enlisted in Royal Artillery 30.3.1885, transferred to 3rd Dragoon Guards 29/9/85, served in India, Natal and South Africa, LSGC issued 3.10.1903, discharged 28.3.1905, died 17.6.1949 in Newport where he lived.
