A set of eight Cotswold School Arts & Crafts oak lattice back armchairs, c.1920, with shaped arms, column supports, ruskwork seats and supported on turned front legs with ball feet and a uniting stretcher.
Provenance: Estate of the late William Lloyd George, 3rd Viscount Tenby (1927-2023), the grandson of David Lloyd George, 1st Earl of Dwyfor (1863-1945) the British Prime Minister from 1916 to 1922 during WWI.

The general condition is a little tired, the joints all reasonably sturdy, and there is a small amount of play in some of the arm rests where the column support enters the arm rest. They are fairly dirty, but there is no significant damage, one chair has a moderate amount of wood worm holes to stretchers, arm rests, legs and front rails, and there are a few minor holes on others. There is an area of wear on the back of each chair level with the arms. Rushed seats in reasonable condition with some broken rushes. Please see images for reference.
