A Boer War medal pair awarded to: 3659 Private C. Rose 16th Lancers. Comprising: a Queen’s South Africa medal with 5 clasps Relief of Kimberley, Paardeberg, Johannesburg, Diamond Hill, Wittebergen (3659 Pte C. Rose 16th Lancers.); and a King's South Africa medal with 2 clasps South Africa 1901 and South Africa 1902 (3659 Pte C. Rose 16th Lancers.).
Note: Rose was born in Hornsea, London in February 1873 and enlisted 30th September 1893. He was court marshalled twice to reserve in 1903, discharged 26th September 1905.
