A 9ct yellow gold watch chain, bearing inscribed medallion for Major Goronwy Owen RSO, together with a hollow gold Victorian pendant necklace, yellow metal and paste horseshoe brooch (unmarked) and a 15ct yellow gold, turquoise and pearl insect brooch, with ruby eyes. (4)
Note: Goronwy Owens was a Welsh liberal politician, distantly related to David Lloyd George by marriage.
Provenance: Estate of the late William Lloyd George, 3rd Viscount Tenby (1927-2023), he was the son of Gwilym Lloyd George, 1st Viscount Tenby (1894-1967) and the grandson of David Lloyd George, 1st Earl of Dwyfor (1863-1945) the British Prime Minister from 1916 to 1922 during WWI.
